Přednáška se bude konat ve středu 4. května 2011 od 14:05 v místnosti A10 Filozofické fakulty Univerzity Hradec Králové.

Abstrakt přednášky: Music-evoked autobiographical memories and associated emotions are among the strongest experiences that individuals have when listening to music. This lecture describes behavioral and neuroimaging experiments, combined with computational approaches to describing musical structure, as a way of understanding how such experiences manifest themselves in the brain. Of particular interest is a brain region called the medial prefrontal cortex which is important for emotion and maintenance of a sense of self. This region is relatively spared in individuals with Alzheimer's disease, and may serve as an important part of a circuit for integrating music with memories.
